About

Skykraft’s Constellation as a Service (CaaS) offering enables customers to harness satellite capabilities without the complexity and capital cost of designing, deploying, and operating their own satellite constellation. Customers can deploy tailored mission services leveraging Skykraft’s scalable, inter-linked spacecraft architecture within as little as 18 months from contract, compared to the typical 3–5 year development timelines for independent satellite programs. The service is built on three pillars: Robust (dual-redundancy hardware and software architecture with availability exceeding 99.9997%), Dedicated (custom payload integration and mission-specific data delivery pipelines), and Affordable (leveraging Skykraft’s established supply chain, manufacturing, and operations infrastructure to reduce per-unit and per-service costs). The CaaS model is suited to applications requiring global or regional satellite coverage including air traffic management, maritime domain awareness, IoT connectivity, Earth observation, and precision agriculture. Skykraft satellites are manufactured in Canberra, Australia using domestic supply chain partners (Ironbox Engineering for chassis and attitude control systems, CPC for thermal ceramic coating, Puzzle Precision for radiation-hardened PCB assembly) — enabling Australian sovereign capability and supply chain resilience. The company was founded in 2017 as a spin-off from UNSW Canberra Space and has launched four successive satellite missions through 2025.
