Small Satellite Operations
OHB Sweden offers comprehensive small satellite operations, leveraging a strong heritage in designing, building, testing, and operating satellites from LEOP to deorbit.
About
OHB Sweden possesses a strong and unique heritage in not only designing, building, and testing satellites but also in running their operations onsite at their Mission Control Centre (MCC) in Kista, Sweden. The extensive list of satellites operated by OHB Sweden, covering all phases from LEOP, IOC, nominal operations, to deorbit, includes notable missions such as Odin, PRISMA (multi-satellite operations), and GMS-T. The MCC utilizes OHB Sweden’s proprietary in-house developed Mission Control System (MCS) named RAMSES, which is also integral throughout the entire AIT phase. OHB Sweden’s expertise spans from conventional operations of single payload LEO missions to complex multi-mission support, accommodating a wide variety of payloads that demand meticulous planning, highly skilled operators, and flawless infrastructure and tools. Beyond operating its own satellites, OHB Sweden also provides specialized subsystem (e.g., AOCS) LEOP operations support to external customers, exemplified by EDRS-C.
