The Space Micro FEC Codec is a forward error correction (FEC) encoder/decoder module designed to improve the reliability and efficiency of satellite communication links. FEC coding reduces the bit error rate (BER) of transmitted data by adding redundancy that allows the receiver to detect and correct errors without retransmission. The Space Micro FEC Codec is engineered for use in space-grade communication subsystems, compatible with Space Micro’s SDR and transponder product lines. Space Micro specialized in radiation-hardened electronics for space and defense applications.
