About
SpaceTIS, in collaboration with NASA, is developing rovers capable of mining water at vastly reduced cost on the Moon. The rovers are designed to mine water and metals — including iron, nickel, and precious metals such as gold and platinum — from asteroids that have landed on the lunar surface. The technology enables in-situ resource utilization (ISRU) on the Moon to support long-duration missions and reduce the cost of deep-space exploration. Development is being conducted at SpaceTIS-Lux (Luxembourg) in parallel with work at other SpaceTIS entities.
