About
SpaceWill (Beijing Space View Technology, formerly BSVT) operates the GaoJing (高景, ‘SuperView’) commercial high-resolution Earth observation satellite constellation, providing 0.5 m resolution panchromatic and 2 m multispectral imagery to international customers. The company was established to commercialize imagery from the GaoJing satellites, which represent China’s first truly commercial sub-meter resolution optical satellite system.
GaoJing-1 (four satellites launched 2016–2019) provides 0.5 m PAN / 2 m MS imagery in four 4-band multispectral channels (blue, green, red, near-infrared). GaoJing-2 satellites (launched 2023–2024) improve to higher resolution and add additional capacity. Images are delivered within hours through SpaceWill’s online ordering portal and through an international distribution network partnering with imagery resellers in Europe, Middle East, and Southeast Asia.
SpaceWill sells imagery globally to government agencies, mapping organizations, defense intelligence customers, and commercial enterprises. China Siwei (a related entity) is the primary domestic distributor; SpaceWill focuses on international commercial sales. SpaceWill’s imagery competes with Airbus Pléiades (0.5 m), Maxar WorldView Legion, and Planet Labs SkySat in the commercial high-resolution market.
