About
SpeQtral’s Global Quantum Safe Network is a comprehensive solution designed to secure communication infrastructure against the threat of quantum computing. It integrates both Quantum-Safe Terrestrial Networks and a Quantum-Safe Global Network. The terrestrial component involves implementing fibre-based Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) solutions for metropolitan communication networks, often in partnership with Telcos. The global component leverages satellites to generate and transmit un-hackable symmetric quantum keys, which are then used to secure existing communication infrastructure over long distances. This entire system is unified by a ‘Global Quantum Fabric,’ a collection of hardware and software systems that seamlessly integrate the satellite and terrestrial networks. The network aims to provide security for sovereign networks, communication infrastructure, healthcare, and financial institutions in the quantum era. SpeQtral is actively involved in miniaturizing quantum systems for space, developing satellite technology for quantum light sources, and has successfully launched SpooQy-1, an orbiting CubeSat that produced an entangled photon source. They are also engaged in point-to-point fibre QKD deployments and building trusted nodes for national quantum-safe communication networks.
