About

SwissCube is Switzerland first satellite, a 1U CubeSat developed by students and researchers at EPFL with contributions from six Swiss universities. Launched on September 23, 2009, aboard an ISRO PSLV rocket, SwissCube carries a miniaturized photometer to observe the nightglow phenomenon in Earth upper atmosphere. The project was a pioneering effort in Swiss academic space technology.
