Deep Space Habitat Ground Simulator Study
Spartan Space leads a consortium to study the paradigm shift in human exploration missions for a Mars transit habitat, identifying knowledge gaps and defining simulation needs.
About this service
The European Space Agency (ESA) awarded Spartan Space one of two parallel studies for a Deep Space Habitat Ground Simulator. The consortium, led by Spartan Space, is investigating the paradigm shift in human exploration missions needed for a Mars transit habitat compared to Low Earth Orbit missions. The study will identify knowledge gaps and define the needs for simulation and de-risking activities for a future Deep Space Transit Habitat, a key element of ESA’s Explore2040 strategy. This involves in-depth analysis and conceptual design work.
