Space-based Maritime Intelligence Solutions (Amber™ constellation)

Horizon Technologies’ Amber™ constellation delivers powerful space-based maritime domain awareness intelligence to subscribers. This system detects and defines RF emissions from vessels, specifically L-band phones, Iridium communication and tracking devices, and maritime radars. The Amber™ constellation provides commercial signals intelligence from these emitters, offering more than just “RF mapping.” The Amber™ SIGINT CubeSat Payload, developed under the UK Government’s IOD-3 Programme, provides non-ITAR data for Government and Commercial users. It collects data 24/7 globally without requiring tasking, covering 2.6% of the Earth’s surface per satellite, allowing users to specify regional, EEZ, or global data sets. This service helps identify “dark ships,” track illegal operators (drug smuggling, illegal migrants, ship-to-ship transfers, illegal fishing), and assist in illegal immigrant rescue and interdiction by providing near real-time location data.
