The small-satellite market in numbers, and rocket classes on launch pages

A new Intelligence page gathers industry figures on launches, small satellites, mass classes, launch vehicles and start-up investment — each with its period and a link to the BryceTech report it comes from — and shows how the hardware listed here lines up. Launch and product pages now show rocket and spacecraft classes.

The small-satellite market in numbers is a new page in Intelligence. It collects the headline figures of the industry — orbital launches, small satellites launched, mass classes, which rockets carry them, operators, start-up investment and the size of the space economy — quoted from BryceTech’s public reports, each with the period it covers and a link to the page it was read from.

  • What is flown, and what is offered here — the mass classes of small satellites launched last year next to the satellite platforms listed on NewSpace Market.
  • Launches ahead, by rocket class — upcoming launch windows grouped by how much each rocket lifts to low Earth orbit.
  • Classes on every page — launch windows now show the rocket’s class (micro launcher to super heavy-lift), and rocket, platform and deployer pages show the class they belong to. The same classes work in the MRD console: ask for «a microsat platform» or «launches on a small launcher».

The figures are BryceTech’s and are cited, not reproduced; the page is updated after each new edition.
