About Alaska Aerospace Corporation

Alaska Aerospace Corporation (AAC) is a State-owned corporation established in 1991. It provides commercial vertical orbital access to space and is headquartered in Anchorage, Alaska. AAC owns and operates the Pacific Spaceport Complex – Alaska (PSCA) on Kodiak Island, Alaska, which supports government and commercial launch customers for national security, commercial, and science missions. The PSCA has been operational since 1998 and has facilitated 35 launches to date. AAC is also working to license the Poker Flat Research Range (PFRR) near Fairbanks, Alaska, for orbital launch over land, in partnership with the University of Alaska Fairbanks Geophysical Institute (UAFGI). Both the PSCA and PFRR feature instrumented ranges. AAC has developed and deployed a proprietary mobile Range Safety, Tracking, and Telemetry System (RSTS), which has supported government and commercial launches at the PSCA and other spaceports globally. The company is expanding its capacity with new orbital and horizontal spaceports and initiatives like the Pacific Test Range (PTR). AAC operates without state or federal programmed funding since 2014, relying on revenue from launches and support services.
