Andoya Space

Andøya Space is an aerospace company headquartered on the island of Andøya in northern Norway. With over six decades of operational experience, the company supports scientists, engineers, students, and government entities. Andøya Space provides means to fly, launch, test, research, educate, and inspire. The company is establishing a launch site for small satellites at Andøya, offering launch services for polar and sun-synchronous orbits in collaboration with launch partners. Additionally, Andøya Space facilitates end-to-end testing of weapon and sensor systems and full-scale operational training exercises through its test range. The company also provides activities, seminars, and conferences related to space technology, space physics, atmosphere, astrophysics, climate, and environment. Andøya Space is divided into four specialized business divisions and operates with three subsidiaries: Andøya Spaceport, Andøya Space Defence, and Andøya Space Education. The first launch of a Norwegian civilian, suborbital research rocket from Andøya occurred on August 18th, 1962.
