About Atlas Space Operations

ATLAS Space Operations, founded in 2015 in Traverse City, Michigan, provides cloud-based Ground Software as a Service (GSaaS) for satellite operators. The platform includes an Insights analytics module that scores every satellite pass against dozens of data points, flexible scheduling from two weeks to one minute in advance, a FreeTime capacity-discovery API, and a guided Copilot onboarding workflow for new missions.

Beyond software, ATLAS supports Launch and Early Orbit Phase (LEOP) operations, offering pre-launch simulations, anomaly response, and coordinated global antenna access during critical early mission windows. Customers span federal, civil and commercial space, including satellite operators such as Capella Space, Astroscale, Sidus Space and Nanoracks, and the company has also delivered antenna hardware innovations such as a low-profile phased-array ground antenna prototype.

In 2025, ATLAS Space Operations was acquired by York Space Systems, continuing operations from its Traverse City, Michigan headquarters with an additional office in Denver, Colorado.
