About

Freedom is ATLAS Space Operations’ cloud-native Ground Software as a Service (GSaaS) platform for satellite telemetry, tracking and command (TT&C). Instead of integrating separately with every ground station provider, operators integrate once with Freedom and gain identical API access and TT&C streams across ATLAS-owned antennas and third-party networks, including AWS Ground Station and Viasat, consolidated through a single Freedom Pass Server (one IP, one port).

The platform’s Insights module automatically analyzes every satellite pass against 34 key data points, classifying results as Success, Warning, or Error and helping engineers identify root causes of anomalies without manually reviewing raw pass logs. Freedom’s flexible scheduling engine accepts contact requests from 14 days out down to 1 minute ahead of a pass, runs load simulations to guarantee minimum and maximum contact windows, and exposes a FreeTime API/Discover feature that surfaces unused antenna capacity across the network in real time.

New missions are brought online through a guided Copilot onboarding workflow, an automated step-by-step checklist that walks engineering teams from initial requirements through end-to-end pass testing, with documentation linked at each step to reduce launch-readiness risk. Freedom also includes legacy-compatible output formatting so data can be delivered in the formats existing ground and mission-control tooling already expects.

Freedom integrates with a broad range of ground segment hardware and mission software, including downconverters (Cross Technologies, ETL Systems, Work Microwave), amplifiers (BHE), modems (RT Logic, Amergint, Lumistar, Blink Amphinicy), antennas (Comtech, Orbital Systems, M2, Radeus Labs and others), and command-and-control platforms such as Quindar, Xplore Major Tom, and Cosmos. It supports S-band, X-band, Ka-band and UHF frequency bands across LEO, MEO and GEO missions, and underpins ATLAS’s Federal, Civil, and Commercial Space service lines as well as Launch and Early Orbit Phase (LEOP) support.
