Blue Cubed was founded by a team of small satellite veterans and photonics experts with the mission to bring lasercom to small satellites. The company focuses on making laser communications practical and affordable for the NewSpace market, incorporating novel patented technology to reduce integration complexity.

The flagship product, Cobalt, sets a new standard for small optical intersatellite link (OISL) terminals. With an integrated gimbal and star cameras, Cobalt is self-orienting and does not require external attitude information from the host spacecraft — dramatically simplifying integration.

Blue Cubed also offers Bluefin, an X-band RF transmitter for CubeSat direct-to-Earth downlink applications, supporting data rates up to 25 Mbps in the Earth Exploration Satellite Service and Space Research Service bands.

The company's products target small satellite constellations that require high-bandwidth inter-satellite links, enabling new classes of missions that were previously feasible only with much larger platforms.
