CETC — China Electronics Technology Group

China Electronics Technology Group Corporation (CETC, 中国电子科技集团有限公司) is a centrally managed state-owned enterprise established in March 2002 under the State Council of China, formed by consolidating 46 electronics research institutes and 26 enterprises from the former Ministry of Information Industry. CETC is the dominant force in China's defense electronics sector and a leading developer of electronic information systems, covering radar, satellite communications, avionics, electronic warfare, and next-generation networking.

With more than 220,000 employees across research institutes, manufacturing subsidiaries, and publicly listed companies, CETC operates a complete science-to-manufacturing innovation chain in the electronic information domain. The group's research institutes include specialized centers for radar technology (14th Research Institute), communications electronics (54th Research Institute), and aerospace electronic systems. CETC has listed subsidiaries on the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges.

For the space sector, CETC provides satellite communication systems, ground equipment, electronic payload integration for spacecraft, and related test and measurement infrastructure. The group also leads in 5G technology, where its research contributes to next-generation satellite-terrestrial integrated networks.
