JACK-001 3U CubeSat
3U-class CubeSat bus with full attitude control, S-band/UHF communications, and an integrated Earth observation telescope payload delivering 4m GSD imagery.
Description
The JACK-001 is Cosmoworks' 3U-class CubeSat platform, measuring 100 x 100 x 340 mm and weighing 3.7 kg. The satellite bus integrates onboard computer (OBC), attitude determination and control (ADCS), communications, and electrical power subsystems (EPS), paired with an Earth observation telescope payload.
The ADCS suite includes 3 reaction wheels and XYZ magnetorquers for actuation, plus 2 star trackers, a sun sensor, Earth sensor, magnetometers, and GPS for sensing. Communications operate on S-band (2.1 GHz) for high-rate downlink and UHF-band (436 MHz) for telemetry/command. The EPS uses a battery pack of 4x 18650 cells charged by solar cells.
The standard payload option is the AST-01 telescope, covering 400-700nm with a 600mm focal length and a 2592x2048 pixel sensor (4.8μm pixel size), delivering 4m ground sample distance and 10.3km swath width from a 500km orbit, with MTF greater than 0.2 at Nyquist frequency. The payload module measures 95 x 95 x 148 mm and operates across -20°C to +80°C.
