About Fossa Systems

Fossa Systems, headquartered in Madrid with a second office in Lisbon, Portugal, builds an end-to-end satellite Internet of Things (IoT) system spanning space, ground, and device hardware. The company designs and operates its own constellation of nanosatellites to provide global IoT connectivity, even in remote regions with no cellular coverage.

On the ground segment, Fossa offers its Satellite Ground Station product — a turnkey installation (starting at €200k) supporting UHF and S-band frequencies via Yagi and parabolic antennas, enabling autonomous, remote-operated LEO satellite tracking and communications from anywhere in the world.

At the edge, the FOSSA Nexus is a modular IoT device and gateway offering hybrid connectivity across FOSSA's own SatIoT network, GSM, NB-IoT, and LoRa. It can run on internal batteries or an optional solar panel, is protected against dust, rain, and adverse weather, and connects to a wide range of external sensors for humidity, CO2, voltage, pressure, and other parameters.

Fossa also offers Satellite Infrastructure services, providing turnkey nanosatellite missions covering satellite manufacturing, testing, and launch integration for customers who need dedicated space infrastructure rather than shared constellation access. The company serves energy & utilities, infrastructure & construction, logistics, oil & gas, smart farming, and national security & defence customers, and has received support from Spain's ICEX Next program and EU NextGenerationEU recovery funding for projects including HERMESS, TRITON, and NESE.
