OptoSAR Fused Imaging Payload
Co-located X-band SAR and 7-band multispectral optical satellite payload delivering parallax-free, time-synchronized fused Earth observation imagery via AI-powered SyncFusion technology.
Description
OptoSAR is GalaxEye's proprietary Earth observation payload, engineered to solve the parallax and time-gap problem inherent in combining data from separate SAR and optical satellites. The payload houses an X-band SAR sensor and a 7-band multispectral imager on a single, thermally-stable optical bench, physically co-locating both sensors to eliminate parallax error at its source.
GalaxEye's SyncFusion™ technology stack pairs this hardware with AI-powered fusion algorithms running onboard and on the ground, performing sub-pixel co-registration and jitter correction so that every data point from both sensors becomes part of a single, unified dataset rather than two separate images that must be reconciled after the fact.
The resulting fused imagery combines the optical layer's intuitive visual context, color, and texture with the SAR layer's ability to penetrate clouds, darkness, and smoke to reveal structural information, surface texture, and elevation — delivering a single mission-critical data product for defense, infrastructure, agriculture, and disaster response applications. The payload carries GalaxEye's flagship Mission Drishti satellite.
