About
OptoSAR is a proprietary technology developed by GalaxEye, designed to address fundamental challenges in Earth Observation, specifically the problems of parallax and time-gaps encountered when combining data from separate optical and SAR satellites. It is an end-to-end system comprising both hardware integration and AI-powered fusion algorithms, collectively known as the SyncFusion™ Technology Stack. The system merges the intuitive visual context, color, and texture provided by an optical layer with the structural information, surface texture, and elevation changes revealed by a SAR layer. This combination allows OptoSAR to deliver a single dataset that offers complete context and ground truth, even through clouds, darkness, and smoke, which typically obscure optical sensors. The entire stack is designed and built in-house by GalaxEye. The sensors have been validated through over 400 test flights and live trials across drones, aircraft, and High Altitude Platform Station (HAPS) platforms, with defense and research bodies.
