Hancom InSpace

Hancom InSpace is a South Korean aerospace technology company headquartered in Daejeon, operating as part of the Hancom Group. The company positions itself as a leading AI-based security and surveillance/reconnaissance provider, combining satellite ground segment engineering, geospatial analytics, and image analysis into an integrated product line.

InSpace has built and operates several of Korea's key national ground station systems, including the country's first deep-space ground station for the KPLO (Korean Pathfinder Lunar Orbiter) lunar mission, as well as ground stations for the GK-2A/GK-2B meteorological and environmental satellites and the KOMPSAT Earth observation series developed with KARI. Its InStation Platform integrates real-time data processing, job scheduling (Janus Engine), ground station operations (InOPS), and satellite data processing (InDPS) into a unified operating environment.

Beyond ground segment infrastructure, the company develops its own small satellite platforms (the Sejong series), AI-based image and GEOINT analysis tools, drone and drone-station systems, and wearable robotics, reflecting a broader strategy of applying disruptive space and AI technologies to both national security and commercial markets.

With a team of more than 50 aerospace engineers, geospatial analysts, and data scientists, Hancom InSpace serves government agencies such as KARI and the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) as well as commercial customers across water resource monitoring, environmental analysis, and space weather forecasting.
