Hex-Star Universe is a space EdTech company founded in 2022 and headquartered in Kolkata, India, with the mission to educate, inspire, and empower the next generation of space leaders and innovators. The company bridges the gap between theoretical space education and practical hands-on experience, making space science accessible and affordable for students globally.

The platform offers a range of physical satellite educational kits — including CubeSat build kits, CanSat kits, and high-altitude balloon hardware — alongside a robust digital learning ecosystem at hexstar.academy with courses in aerospace engineering, astrobiology, astronomy, AI/ML, space law, and satellite technology. Students can track real satellite data, complete simulated missions, and engage with mentors through a 1:1 Mentor Connect program.

Hex-Star Universe has facilitated over 18 CubeSat launches and supports more than 50 operational CubeSats globally, with a learner community exceeding 10,000 students. The company has established partnerships with leading organizations including NASA, ISRO, Boeing, MIT, the International Astronomical Union (IAU), and CSEM.

Founded by Soumyajit Dasgupta, Hex-Star Universe shipped its CubeSat Kit GEN1 to 537+ customers worldwide, with products delivered to students in more than 30 countries. The company continues to expand its course catalog and hardware product line.
