Description
The TRAD HIRCOM CubeSat UHF transceiver is a high-reliability, cost-effective half-duplex sub-system providing telemetry and telecommand (TMTC) communication links between space and ground segments over the UHF band. It is compliant with the CubeSat standard, built on a CubeSat Kit PC/104 form factor with the M80-5401442 connector, and uses GMSK/AFSK modulation with software-controlled operation. The card is designed for high reliability and radiation resilience, leveraging TRAD's radiation-testing and analysis expertise (established 1994) and its co-located CSUM space-center facilities (gamma-source irradiation lab). Connectors are customizable on demand. HIRCOM was TRAD's first product in its long-term push into the New Space market as a manufacturer of high-reliability components for CubeSats and small satellites.
