Hisdesat

Hisdesat Servicios Estratégicos S.A. is a Spanish government satellite communications company specializing in secure, encrypted satellite communications services for government, military, and civil security customers. Founded in 2001 and headquartered in Madrid, Hisdesat is the operator of the PAZ radar intelligence satellite (jointly developed with Spanish Ministry of Defence and Airbus) and the XTAR-EUR and Spainsat military communications satellites providing X-band and UHF satellite services to Spanish armed forces, allied nations, and NATO. Hisdesat also operates government satellite communication services on behalf of the Spanish Ministry of Defence and other European governments, providing secure narrowband and broadband satellite links for defence and crisis management applications. The company is owned by a consortium of Spanish aerospace and telecommunications companies.
