HISKY Hub
Central gateway hub for the SmartLITE satellite communication network, routing traffic between ESA terminals and the satellite backbone.
Description
The HISKY Hub is the central gateway component of the SmartLITE end-to-end satellite communication system. Installed at a teleport or network operations centre, the Hub interfaces with the satellite uplink chain and manages all forward and return traffic for a fleet of SmartLITE terminals in the field.
The Hub is designed to work seamlessly with multiple Ku-band and Ka-band satellite operators, providing operator flexibility and allowing customers to optimise capacity cost versus coverage. It supports hundreds of simultaneous SmartLITE terminal connections, making it suitable for enterprise fleet deployments as well as military network-of-networks architectures.
Working in conjunction with the SmartLITE NMS, the Hub provides the satellite link layer for quality-of-service management, link adaptation, and encryption. Together these three components — terminals, Hub, NMS — form hiSky's complete turnkey satellite connectivity solution.
