About Independence-X Aerospace

Independence-X Aerospace (IDXA) is a Malaysian NewSpace transportation company founded in 2013 by Izmir Yamin, headquartered in Seremban with operations at Technology Park Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur. The company develops an indigenous small launch vehicle (DNLV) powered by LOX/RP-1 engines, a microgravity experiment re-entry capsule (MERCAP), cryogenic rocket engines, and Hall-effect thrusters with the ambition of establishing Malaysia as a regional space hub. IDXA was the only Malaysian and Southeast Asian team in the Google Lunar XPRIZE competition and was cited in NASA's 2015 Small Spacecraft Technology report. The company draws on a community of approximately 400 members across 20+ technical departments.
