About
The MERCAP (Microgravity Experimental Re-entry Capsule) is a re-entry vehicle developed by Independence-X Aerospace to enable microgravity experiments conducted in orbit with subsequent physical sample return to Earth. The capsule is designed to fly aboard the company’s planned DNLV (Domino Next Launch Vehicle) or as a secondary payload on other launch vehicles, enabling researchers to conduct experiments in a microgravity environment and recover the results intact.
MERCAP is part of Independence-X Aerospace’s broader mission to build Malaysia’s indigenous space transportation capability, including launch and re-entry services for scientific and commercial customers.
