INTA — Instituto Nacional de Tecnica Aeroespacial

INTA (Instituto Nacional de Tecnica Aeroespacial) is Spain's national aeronautics and space research institute, established in 1942. INTA conducts aerospace research and develops space systems for national defense, civil applications, and scientific missions.

INTA's space activities include the NANOSAT small satellite program, the Ingenio (SEOSAT) Earth observation satellite developed with Airbus and ESA, and contributions to European space programs through ESA membership.

The institute operates the El Arenosillo testing and launch range, which has conducted over 500 sounding rocket launches for scientific and technological research. INTA also manages ground stations and satellite control infrastructure.

As a key partner in the European space ecosystem, INTA contributes scientific instruments to ESA missions and supports Spain's national space strategy through technology development and knowledge transfer to industry.
