HALO-100X Electrospray Propulsion Module
Plug-and-play 1U electrospray electric propulsion module — inert non-toxic propellant, >5000s Isp, configurable high-thrust boost or high-ISP endurance modes.
Description
HALO-100X is ION-X's plug-and-play 1U electrospray electric propulsion module for small satellites, built on electrohydrodynamic (EHD) electrospray technology using Taylor cone emission from an ionic liquid. Its modular propulsive slab architecture scales thrust to mission needs, using an inert propellant tank with no chemical hazard and a real-time-adaptive power processing unit. The system is configurable in-flight for a high-thrust boost mode for orbit insertion or de-orbit, or a high-ISP endurance mode for station-keeping.
