About KAI (Korea Aerospace Industries)

KAI (Korea Aerospace Industries, Ltd.; Korean: 한국항공우주산업) is South Korea's primary integrated aerospace and defence manufacturer, established in 1999 and headquartered in Sacheon, South Gyeongsang Province. As the flagship of South Korea's aerospace industrial base, KAI designs, develops, and produces military aircraft (T-50 Golden Eagle, FA-50, KF-21 Boramae), helicopters (Surion), and satellite systems. In the space sector, KAI manufactured the satellite buses for South Korea's KOMPSAT/Arirang Earth observation satellites and is a key industrial partner in the Korea Space Launch Vehicle 2 (Nuri) program, responsible for manufacturing the rocket's fuselage and structural components.
