MIPRONS

MIPRONS designs and manufactures propulsion systems for satellites, specifically utilizing patented water-electrolysis technology. This technology is intended to offer efficiency and safety advantages over traditional electric propulsion systems (xenon or water-based) and hydrazine-based systems. The company aims to develop compact, high-performance, and sustainable propulsion systems. MIPRONS holds patents for its "Space Propulsion System" in Italy, Japan, India, the European Union, and Australia, and for its "Low & High Thrust Space Propulsion System" in Italy, the European Union, and the United States. The company was founded in 2019 by Angelo Minotti. MIPRONS has a goal of reaching full operational capacity by 2029 with a global team of around 50 people. They have ongoing agreements with industry pioneers such as Thales Alenia Space Italia and have been contracted by AVIO SpA to investigate their solution as an ignition system for the LOX/LCH4 engine MR10 used on the Vega E launcher. MIPRONS is an official member of the IAF International Astronautical Federation and AIPAS. They have participated in the ESABIC Incubation Program at ESA in Rome, Italy.
