About NazarX
NazarX Research and Development Center is described as Uzbekistan's first private aerospace engineering company, active in rocketry, robotics, and 3D modeling of aerospace hardware. The organization designs rocket prototypes and has run early stratospheric balloon and mini-satellite imaging projects, including one of the first Uzbek projects to photograph Earth from the stratosphere using a self-built payload.
Beyond hardware development, NazarX runs youth STEM outreach programs such as DreamSat and TechnoCamp, which have introduced thousands of young people in Uzbekistan to robotics, space exploration, and aviation modeling, helping seed a domestic aerospace talent pipeline in a country with a nascent space sector.
In 2026, a NazarX team representing Uzbekistan (in cooperation with the national Uzcosmos space program) won the national round of the EU-backed Act in Space International Hackathon and went on to place second overall at the international final in Bordeaux, France, among five finalist teams from Senegal, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Australia, and France. Their project was a modular satellite platform using snap-together components with magnetic connectors, allowing CubeSat modules to be built, upgraded, or repaired on Earth or in orbit in hours rather than days — an approach aimed at making satellite technology more affordable and accessible.
