Founded in 2015 and headquartered in Montreal, Canada, NorthStar Earth & Space Inc. is a space data intelligence company building the world's first commercial, space-based Space Situational Awareness (SSA) service. NorthStar operates a dedicated optical satellite constellation and data platform designed to persistently monitor both the space environment and the Earth's surface, with additional offices in Luxembourg and McLean, Virginia.

Through its Space Information & Intelligence (SI²) service line, NorthStar delivers space traffic data, collision avoidance, navigation assistance, change detection and high-fidelity cataloguing of orbital objects to private companies, government agencies, insurers, regulators and investors participating in the growing space economy. The company's space-based sensors are designed to track and characterize objects in orbit with a precision and timeliness that ground-based systems alone cannot match.

NorthStar's Earth Information & Intelligence (EI²) product line extends beyond traditional Earth observation by fusing hyperspectral, infrared and multi-source satellite data into diagnostic information products. These are used to support forestry management, sustainable agriculture, and greenhouse gas emissions monitoring, helping users and communities manage natural resources sustainably in the face of environmental degradation and climate change.

NorthStar has raised significant venture financing, including a CA$20 million Series D round, to fund the deployment of its space-based SSA constellation, and successfully launched its first NorthStar-1 satellites as part of this effort.
