Space Information & Intelligence (SI²) is NorthStar Earth & Space’s suite of space domain awareness (SSA) data services, built on a dedicated space-based optical sensing constellation and AI-powered data fusion. SI² provides precise and timely space traffic data to private and government clients, insurers, regulators and investors participating in the space economy.
The service line includes professional SI² services such as data fusion and curation forensics, modelling and simulation, and tailored customer support, alongside core capabilities in navigation assistance (collision avoidance, launch and de-orbit support), change detection (conjunction warnings and event detection), and information data services (space object catalogue, tracking and identification). By observing objects in orbit from space rather than relying solely on ground-based sensors, NorthStar aims to deliver higher-fidelity, more timely space situational awareness data to support safe and sustainable space operations.
