Pinkmatter Solutions was established in 2002 in South Africa, originally focused on developing Earth observation image processing and ground segment software. Over more than two decades the company built up deep expertise in satellite image calibration, data management and processing systems for Earth observation missions, work that was later spun off into a dedicated entity, FarEarth Labs, which continues to develop the FarEarth processing and data management platform for NewSpace missions.

Today Pinkmatter Solutions operates as a specialist antenna hosting provider, running a dedicated Earth observation antenna hosting site at 2793 Boschkop Road, Boschkop, Pretoria. The site benefits from a favorable climate for ground station operations - moderate temperatures, low winds and zero snowfall - together with a low typical horizon mask (around 8 degrees) and low RF interference, and holds the licensing required to host Earth observation ground equipment.

Pinkmatter's hosting service covers the full lifecycle of a ground station deployment: licensing and import-logistics support, site preparation, concrete antenna pads with earthing and lightning protection, an air-conditioned brick telco room with server rack space, redundant high-speed internet connectivity, backup power supply independent of the national grid, perimeter fencing, CCTV and on-site security, plus on-site project management, installation support and ongoing smart-hands technical support for customers' antenna and receiving equipment.
