Description
The PION Educational Satellite Launcher (PESL) is a suborbital rocket developed by the Brazilian startup PION Labs. It was launched from the Barreira do Inferno Launch Center (CLBI) in Rio Grande do Norte, making PION Labs the first company to launch a vehicle from this facility. The PESL is designed to carry educational payloads, specifically CanSat and CubeSat formats. During its inaugural launch, it successfully carried seven payloads belonging to competition winners to an altitude of 3,000 meters. After reaching its maximum altitude, the vehicle deployed a parachute and landed in the sea, where it was recovered by a PION team. This vehicle was entirely developed by PION Labs.
