About
PESL is PION Labs’ educational sounding rocket, flown on December 8, 2023 from the Centro de Lançamento da Barreira do Inferno in Brazil. The flight marked the first launch conducted entirely by a Brazilian startup from a Brazilian launch site, and included Brazil’s first successful rocket-recovery operation. The rocket carried educational payloads as part of PION’s STEM outreach programs.
