Long-range space domain awareness electro-optical/infrared sensor for LEO, GEO, and lunar orbit missions.
Owl SDA Sensor
Long-range space domain awareness electro-optical/infrared sensor for LEO, GEO, and lunar orbit missions.
Description
Owl is Scout Space's long-range space domain awareness (SDA) sensor, designed to detect, track, and characterize resident space objects across LEO, GEO, and lunar orbit regimes. The electro-optical/infrared sensor is intended for integration onto host satellites to provide continuous, autonomous surveillance of the orbital environment without reliance on ground-based tracking assets.
Owl supports Scout Space's broader mission autonomy architecture, feeding real-time observational data into on-board processing and decision-making systems co-developed with the US Space Force, enabling spacecraft to independently detect and respond to nearby objects or potential threats.
