About Scout Space

Scout Space is a space domain awareness (SDA) and space situational awareness (SSA) company founded in 2019 by Eric Ingram to make it safer to operate in space by giving satellites and operators real-time sensing, on-board processing, and autonomous decision-making capability. The company builds next-generation sensor systems, autonomy software, and data platforms aimed at 'cross-orbit intelligence' and dynamic space operations for defence and commercial customers.

Scout Space develops radiation-hardened electro-optical and infrared satellite sensors, including the Owl long-range SDA sensor for LEO, GEO, and lunar orbit missions, and Sparrow, a low-SWaP close-range optical system for rendezvous, proximity operations, and docking (RPO-D) in LEO. The company's mission autonomy flight software, developed in collaboration with the US Space Force, enables spacecraft to autonomously navigate, coordinate, and inspect assets without ground communication.

Scout Space has been awarded significant government contracts, including two Sequential Phase II TACFI awards from the US Space Force / SpaceWERX (approximately $3.8m and $3.2m, announced April 2025) to deliver a new GEO space domain awareness sensor and enhance on-board SDA data processing. The company's SpaceSight™ product became available on Saber Astronautics' Space Application Marketplace in December 2024.

In March 2025, Scout partnered with Pulse Space to advance space-to-space laser power distribution technology, targeting a demonstration mission in early 2026. Scout Space closed an $18m Series A funding round in May 2025, led by Washington Harbour Partners, with participation from VIPC, Noblis Ventures, Decisive Point, and Fusion Fund.
