About
Sparrow is Scout Space’s low size, weight, and power (SWaP) close-range optical sensor system, purpose-built for rendezvous, proximity operations, and docking (RPO-D) missions in low Earth orbit. The compact sensor package enables spacecraft to perform precision relative navigation and approach operations required for satellite servicing, inspection, and active debris removal missions.
Sparrow integrates with Scout Space’s mission autonomy flight software, allowing host spacecraft to autonomously execute close-proximity maneuvers and docking sequences without continuous ground-in-the-loop control, reducing operational latency and enabling more responsive on-orbit servicing missions.
