CAST 2000 Satellite Platform
The CAST 2000 is a compact, high-performance, and flexible satellite platform featuring S-band TT&C, X-band data transmission, and 3-axis attitude stabilization.
Description
The CAST 2000 is a compact satellite platform known for its high performance, expandability, and flexibility. It is equipped with an S-band TT&C (Telemetry, Tracking, and Command) sub-system and an X-band data transmission sub-system. The platform features 3-axis attitude stabilization, enabling highly precise control, large-range sway maneuvers, and flexible orbit maneuvers. It also boasts highly integrated housekeeping and an effective power supply system. This platform has been successfully applied in several Chinese small satellites, including the OceanSat-1A, 1B, and Huanjing-A, B satellites, demonstrating excellent performance and reliability. Furthermore, the VRSS-1 remote sensing satellite, launched on September 29, 2012, was manufactured based on the CAST 2000 platform and delivered in orbit on September 2, 2013.
