Toray TC380 Epoxy Prepreg
High-modulus aerospace-grade epoxy prepreg for primary spacecraft structures — intermediate cure at 121°C, exceptional hot/wet mechanical properties, widely used in satellite panels and launch vehicle structures.
Description
TC380 is Toray Advanced Composites' flagship high-modulus epoxy prepreg system for structural aerospace applications, including spacecraft bus panels, launch vehicle fairings, and satellite structural components. It cures at 121°C with high Tg retention under hot/wet conditions, making it ideal for environments where elevated temperature performance and moisture resistance are critical. TC380 features excellent toughness, low void content, and long out-time (>21 days at 21°C), enabling complex layup schedules in production environments. The resin system is qualified for primary load-bearing structures including spacecraft solar array substrates, equipment panels, and structural frames. TC380 is widely used by satellite manufacturers including Boeing, Northrop Grumman, and their tier-1 suppliers.
