920MHz Fixed LoRa Ground Sensor Terminal (GST)

A solar-powered, fixed-installation ground sensor terminal that transmits IoT data to the MicroOrbiter-1 satellite via 920MHz LoRa.

About

The 920MHz Fixed LoRa Ground Sensor Terminal (GST) is a ground-based IoT device built by Micro Orbiter Inc. to transmit sensor data up to the MicroOrbiter-1 satellite constellation using 920MHz-band LoRa communication. It is designed as a fixed installation, powered by an integrated solar panel for autonomous, unattended operation in remote or maritime locations, and uses a patch antenna mounted on top of the unit to communicate with satellites passing overhead in low Earth orbit.

The terminal is part of Micro Orbiter’s end-to-end Low Power Wide Area (LPWA) IoT satellite communication system, pairing with the MicroOrbiter-1 CubeSat to collect and relay data from distributed sensors in areas lacking terrestrial network coverage, such as remote land sites and ocean environments.
