Tensor Tech ADCS products are designed to integrate seamlessly with third-party star trackers, significantly enhancing pointing accuracy for various space missions. Our advanced estimator algorithms play a crucial role by fusing data from these star trackers with information gathered from other onboard attitude sensors, including magnetometers, sun sensors, and inertial measurement units. This multi-sensor data fusion process leads to a substantial improvement in attitude determination capabilities. We offer driver-level support for a wide range of star tracker vendors, ensuring broad compatibility. Depending on specific mission requirements, systems can be configured to integrate one or more star trackers.

Utilizing star trackers with ADCS offers several key advantages. It provides improved eclipse performance, ensuring continuous attitude determination even when sun sensors are unavailable during eclipse periods. Furthermore, it delivers higher pointing accuracy, achieving sub-arcsecond attitude knowledge essential for precision imaging and optical communication applications. The integration also reduces albedo effects, making attitude determination less susceptible to variations in Earth reflection. Tensor Tech ADCS products currently support integration with star trackers from Arcsec (Sagitta and Twinkle models) and Sodern (AURIGA model). Our flexible integration approach allows for the selection of the optimal star tracker based on your mission’s specific accuracy, mass, and power requirements.
