The X1 Athena is Artemis Space’s entry into the microsatellite category, designed for missions with complex payloads that require more power, volume, and structural stability than CubeSat platforms can provide. The X1 Athena can accommodate payloads up to 100 kg, enabling high-resolution optical imaging, radar payloads, and multi-instrument scientific packages.
The platform is scaleable in mass and power to match the specific mission profile, making it suitable for a wide range of Earth observation, communications, and technology demonstration missions.
