The HEX20 AX-12 is a 12U satellite platform designed for a wide range of general-purpose missions. It offers a balanced combination of power and payload capacity, making it suitable for various applications. The structural dimensions of the AX-12 are 226.3mm * 226.3mm * 226.3mm. For communication, it supports UHF, X-Band, and K-Band. The platform provides multiple interfaces including UART, RS232, RS422, SPI, and CAN. It comes with 64GB of data storage and can accommodate an available payload mass of up to 12KG. The On-Board Computer (OBC) options include SMARTFUSION2 and ARM CORTEX M3 / POLARFIRE. Power buses available are 3.3V, 5V, and a customizable 6–12V, along with battery support. It offers a raw payload volume of 6U and provides 48W of payload power. Telemetry data rates vary depending on the band, ranging from 2.4-19.2 KBPS (UHF with GFSK/GMSK modulation) up to 10MBPS (S-Band with BPSK, QPSK, OQPSK), up to 200 MBPS (X-Band with GMSK, BPSK, QPSK, 8-PSK, 16-APSK), and up to 250MBPS (K-Band with QPSK, 8-PSK, 16-APSK, 32-APSK).
