About
Azista Industries (formerly Azista BST Aerospace) is an Indian private defense and aerospace company diversifying into space manufacturing, producing satellite solar panels, solar array assemblies, and space power systems as part of India’s push for domestic space manufacturing capability. Headquartered in Hyderabad, Azista serves both Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) programs and the emerging commercial smallsat ecosystem enabled by India’s 2020 space sector reforms.
Azista manufactures multi-junction gallium arsenide (GaAs) solar cells and arrays for satellite applications, achieving ~28–30% conversion efficiency comparable to international standard space solar cells. The company has invested in clean-room manufacturing facilities in Hyderabad for assembling solar panels and integrating bypass diodes, interconnects, and cover glasses to deliver flight-ready solar array panels.
Beyond solar, Azista produces satellite mechanical structures, antenna systems, and UAV platforms for defense applications. The company has received funding from the Telangana state government and works with IN-SPACe (Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre) as part of India’s commercial space supply chain development. Azista represents the new wave of Indian private aerospace companies entering space hardware manufacturing.
