About
The 6U Deployable Solar Array is a solar power generation solution developed by EnduroSat for 6U CubeSat missions. It is designed to deploy after the satellite reaches orbit, extending beyond the spacecraft’s body to expose a larger solar cell area to sunlight than fixed, body-mounted panels allow. The product is offered in configurations shown as single and double deployable panel arrangements, including mounting on the short side of the 6U structure, to suit different satellite bus layouts and power budget needs. The array is stated to achieve a power efficiency of 29+% at End of Life (EOL), indicating retained performance after degradation from radiation and thermal cycling over the mission lifetime. As part of EnduroSat’s CubeSat power product line, it is intended to integrate with the company’s satellite platforms and power systems to supply the increased power demands of small satellite payloads and subsystems.
