About

B2Space is a Spanish company developing stratospheric balloon platforms — known as Stratollites — for near-space access at altitudes of 35 to 45 km in the stratosphere. The platform is used for satellite component testing in the near-space environment, Earth observation, communications relay, and suborbital research experiments at a fraction of the cost of orbital launch.

The Stratollite platform carries payloads of up to several kilograms to the stratosphere, where conditions approximate some aspects of the space environment including vacuum-like low pressure, temperature extremes, and unfiltered solar radiation. This makes it an attractive option for technology demonstration and qualification of components intended for orbital missions.

B2Space launches its platforms from European locations and has completed multiple successful flight campaigns. The company targets satellite manufacturers needing environmental testing, imaging companies requiring high-altitude Earth observation, and telecommunications researchers evaluating stratospheric relay concepts.
