About
The Capella Data Platform is the software infrastructure through which customers access Capella Space’s Acadia SAR constellation imagery and derived analytics. The platform provides a RESTful API for automated tasking requests, collection scheduling, data delivery, and archive search — enabling programmatic integration into customer workflows, government systems, and commercial applications.
Capella’s API allows users to specify a geographic area of interest (AOI), imaging mode (Spotlight, Strip, Slide, Wide Area Search), polarization, and priority level, and receive the imagery delivered to cloud storage (AWS S3 or similar). Typical delivery time from tasking request to delivered image is 1–6 hours for standard requests and under 1 hour for priority (Rush) tasking.
The platform integrates with US government systems including NGA’s JWICS and Secret networks under Capella’s US-ownership status. Commercial analytics built on the platform include change detection, vessel detection and tracking (dark vessel monitoring for sanctions enforcement), and construction site monitoring. Capella also provides a browser-based visual interface (Capella Console) for customers who prefer manual tasking without API integration.
