China SatNet (中国卫星网络集团) offers the Guowang broadband internet service — the commercial satellite internet offering delivered by China’s planned 12,992-satellite LEO constellation. The service aims to deliver high-speed, low-latency broadband internet comparable to SpaceX Starlink across China and eventually globally, operating as the sovereign Chinese alternative to international LEO broadband constellations.
The Guowang service targets consumer broadband in areas underserved by fiber and 5G, enterprise connectivity for remote operations (mining, oil/gas, agriculture), government and defense applications requiring assured communications, and maritime and aviation connectivity.
